The Cards were in town this weekend. John and I went with Eric and Rocky on Friday night, and then I went with the girls today (two of the girls I was with, Carrie and Sarah, are from St. Louis, too). They lost both games but I still had a lot of fun. Both were good games. Too, the number of Cardinal fans there was amazing!
I started this blog in early 2009 as a way to easily keep our families and friends updated on our lives since settling in the Bay Area. Between the ups and downs of renovating our home in San Rafael, raising our daughter, Ellie Elizabeth, and having fun with family and friends, we hope you enjoy following what we are up to as much as I enjoy documenting it.

I think I watched enough baseball to last me the rest of the season..

Update & New Do

It's been awhile since I've posted. Last few weeks have been rough. Between being sick, lovely doctor's appointments and John traveling for work. But we're surviving. We closed on the house last Tuesday, painters started last Friday and movers brought our boxes today. Paint still happening. And you know, carpet, well...it will be a miracle if it's in by mid-June. Of course, things never go as they are planned but in the end, does it really matter? I have to tell myself this daily. Actually, hourly. Cleaning crew comes Friday and the boxes will be torn open on Saturday. We'll officially sleep in our bed (after five months of corporate housing, flat pillows and stiff sheets) Saturday night. Get ready, San Rafael, 'cause here we come!
Also, the biggest news to come out of 1890 Clay Street is that I chopped my hair off. Six long inches! I gotta say, it was liberating. This was me the day after I had it done.

Sick
Gatorade, banana, rice, gatorade, banana, rice...Homebound today. Caught-up on sleep, got organized, bought Mothers' Day and Dad's birthday gifts, played Scrabble, bought NEW address labels and "we're moving" cards to celebrate our upcoming move, etc. Caught up on some chick flicks, too. Had an awesome conversation with Christy. And I got to talk to the lovely Miss Caroline.
I guess I overdid it yesterday. Too bad because we had a great day, despite the rain. BBQ over at Mike and Shauna's (our friend's who we met from Phil Flickinger) and then dinner with Sarah and Wes at the Presidio Social Club. Sarah is total dear from St. Louis and went to Mizzou, too.
This week we're off to a Cinco de Mayo party at Brittany's, dinner with Josh and his lady on Friday and finally getting to see Mara and Scott on Saturday. Oh, and the biggest event of all, WE CLOSE ON THE HOUSE ON FRIDAY, DAD'S BIRTHDAY!
