This warms my heart...

We were on our way back from Big Sur and Ellie had a meltdown in the back seat in her car seat. We couldn't do much to soothe her since we were in the car, and I turned around to see this. Cole resting his head on the side of her car seat. So sweet. So protective. So loving.

Cole is loving life and is taking on his new role quite well. It suites him well.

Mt Tam

We've managed to do a lot of fun stuff this summer between taking the whole family to Carmel (wait, Carmel-by-the-Sea, actually) and Big Sur, Sonoma a few weeks ago and Mount Tamalpais this weekend. Ellie has covered a lot of northern and central California in her first nine weeks. This was my first time going to Mt Tam and the views are incredible! We feel like we scored living here and can't wait to take all of our future out of town guests to check it out.

Sonoma Lunch

We feel so lucky that we live in such an amazing place and we can wake up in the morning and say, "hey, let's drive to Sonoma for lunch." It was Ellie's first. And my first drink in a LONG, LONG, LONG time. We dined at the The Girl and the Fig. And walked around downtown Sonoma afterwards. Miss Ellie slept the entire time!
